Sorry I was late teach.... I was out fis...... I mean the dog ate my jigs! Anyway, better late than never....

The first 2 I am making up a bunch of to give to someone. They are 1/16's with white craft hair and a bunny strip in the middle.

Last one - I recently got some pearl cactus chenille in and don't know if I like it or not, can't seem to get it to even out. Guess I'll have to run it past the fishes.

    Yupp.. nice jigs.

Ya, I have been MIA for a while now, since I have been helping my parents move and dealing with their old houses. What a mess, but I started back up tying again and ready up for the winter crappie action. I some how manage to pour 1000 jigs last week and now I'm set on jigs and I don't have to worry about if I'm out of jigs or not. The only problem now, is I'm out of head cement. I guess I head to the tackle store this week or so. I see Jiggy been busy with tying, keep up the good work, your jigs give me ideas on mine.

Attica, them fishes are gonna like that chenille is my prediction. Looks real close to some of what I use and they like it fine. Bunny strips, huh?

I am really surprised that more people don't use zonker strips here. On these, I wanted them mostly to just add some bulk and give a little wiggle out past the craft hair. But when used with just a chennile body, they have a lot more of a swimming action - marabou or hackle just doesn't come close. That said, I did better with them in the warmer water when the fish were more active. The skin also makes them more bouyant (sp?) so you get a slower fall.

I tie some flies (and a few jigs) for bass with a 3"-4" piece hanging off the hook - they have more wiggle than some of my very thin/soft rubber worms.
