Default Tell All the Bad Things about this Jig

I need to make them better,I know. But they have been catching fish. This is a 1/8 round jighead, powder painted black, red stick on eyes, white bucktail with some old black rubber skirts tied on top.I just started with the little ones but,am addicted now. Thanks,I want all the bad things that you can see.I know the picture will be the first, lol.I'll figure that out as I go on.

Pic is still fuzzy – try setting a screen or box behind the jig when you take the pic….

Still looks like a fish catcher.

Maybe I can be of help on the photography a little bit. Lot better tyers than me here so I will let them guide you there.

Use a camera with a macro setting for close up photograph. On my Sony a flower icon comes up on the lcd. Also use a contrasting color as a back drop so your jig will stand out.

Photos taken outside weather permitting are usually best. Try and make sure no shadows fall on your image. Hope that helps a little. Clearer the photograph the more the guys on here will be able to help you.

I guess that I have to set up a place to just take pictures.I will.I started tyeing these a couple of weeks ago.I have probably caught 30 big bluegills with them.I have not gone after crappie yet though. The first couple had all the hair torn off them.

The overall design looks good, even better if the fishes like 'em!

More photo info: You don't need a seperate area for pics, I take my picts on my tying table. You can leave it in the vise & just stand up some paper for background or lay it on your table. 1 HUGE help is to use a small tripod or set down the camera on something. Using the timer setting also helps to get your hands off the camera so no movement is possible, someone here gave me that tip. Hays47 is right... the better the pic, the better the help you will get!!!

Haha - They always look better on that darn 2" screen! lol I always take 3 or 4 picts at once and then pick the best of them from my computer screen.

What kind of thread are you using? You may want to use some thinner thread to avoid the build up.
