Tying your first jig is not something to do on an empty stomach and 2 cups of coffee. Couldn't keep the hands still. Only broke the thread twice, and it didn't quite come out like I expected, but overall I'm happy with it. 1/16 head, maribou tail with some pearl flash, black pearl chenille, and a neck hackle to finish. I told you it was busy. Had to put the card behind to get camera to focus, not the best pics ever.

Looks better than my first jig. Looks bette than some that I tie now. Good job. !!
There's nothing like feeling that THUMP...FISH ON
Couldn't put it all away just yet. Here's another. 1/16, hackle tail, small maribou parachute, black pearl chenille, hackle collar. Broke the thread on the finish so a fish will destroy this one pretty quick.

Looks good to me....now go catch a fish.![]()

For your first jig that is mighty fine! As Ol Johnny Boy said, some of mine don't look that good now and I've tied hundreds of em! As far as the coffee goes, I've got a four cupper 10 feet away from the tieing table! Gotta have my caffeine before I start!

Sittin here wishin I was out fishin!!!
looks good man. go get them fish
looking good! whenever i break my thread... i always put a dab of hard-as-nails on the break and start up a new wind of thread and then finish off with a couple of whip finishes and another dab of h-a-n. that'll help make that jig last you some more fish!
Nice job Tim. Make a bunch and we can test them out on Saturday. I'll bring some of mine on Saturday as well. Keep up the good work.
I think it's cute !!...
