here's a jig you should give a try when the skeeters come back next year (or any time really). I got the idea from the classic mosquito dry fly pattern: Fly Tying Pattern Archives - Dry_Emerger - Mosquito - Fly Fishing Connection
I left out the tail, used black thread and a single coarse bucktail fiber for the rib, and a partridge feather for the hackle. Tied on a 1/64 oz jig head. I think you fellas that tie < 1/64 jigs should see what you can do with this. The Drowned Mosquitos (and a minnow):

Good looking OK, those things look like they could bite. They should be a killer on the gills come spring.

Sneakin in the fly patterns HUN!!!!! THey look really good, in fly tying circle's you've tied a soft hackle pattern and lot's of guys do it cause it works!!!!
