I have a Antelope cape if anyone is intrrested. The hair makes great fly tying material.

beautiful color choice, and not a bad job either! get yourself some ballhead jigs without the collar or a narrower collar, and that will make tying these jigs easier.

    Default good job MaryLou

That's a good looking jig MaryLou! I would mention a couple things that
make for an easier tie. Next time you get jigs, get the collarless ones and
tie right up to the head. Also when you're tie them off let the thread fall about 1/2 way down the head, then snug it up and pull down the sticky outs
with the thread and snug up. You can also cut them off by taking a sharp knife or razor blade and cut toward the head of the jig to get rid of the little
"sticky outs" of material. Colors are good! preportions are good. For the first jig, it's a whole lot better than mine was The more you tie, the easier and the nicer they look. I also agree with what some said here....sometimes the poorly tied, half the material gone, beat up looking jig will fill the boat with fish! Only the fish know why!!

bowman, I acquired hair from him for flies years ago. He's in Doggy Heaven now, but when I tied cut some hair off him, he didn't mind.... but my mom sure did
