Here are three jigs that I tied last evening. Simple jigs in reddish-pink colors. Might work for trout and walleye in a pinch.
Materials:
- One-sixteenth ounce darter head jig with #4 gold hook.
- UTC Ultra Thread (white) - 140 denier.
- Caron Glimmer chenille (carnation).
- Lion Suede chenille (rose).
- Pink marabou feathers.
- Reddish-pink nail polish.
- Craft acrylic paint (black, white).
- Clear nail polish.
- Devcon 2T epoxy for topcoat.
- Pink craft fur.
- Mylar tinsel (silver holographic).
Jig Tyer.
Top two jigs, IMHO, has a bit too much chenille. Would interfere on hooksets. I personally would not use as much. More contract in colors, again IMHO, is more effective in giving crappies underwater color visability choices.

Hey Pup,
I have been using a lot of pink and white. Good looking jigs !!

I like the bottom right jig, has a little white and some sparkle.

Thanks for the comments Guys.
FF,
I like that jig a lot. Dyed mallard flank is a great feather for tying an effective Float-N-Fly jig for smallmouth bass.![]()
Jig Tyer.
Your craft fur jigs always look very nice. May have to give that a try sometime. Nice clean ties!!
Nicely tied!!!!!!!! I agree a little heavy on the chenille, but all should catch fish.

Keep it simple Pup......pink head, white tail will catch all the crappie you want!! I fished em for 45 years and they still catch crappies!!!
