Default Fluid Bed Material

I have been using a home made fluid bed using coffee filters as the porous part and I was wanting to know what the the ceramic looking stuff is in the factory one. The coffee filters want to volcano and make a mess. Anyone know what the porous stuff is?Thanks!! ><>

If it isn't micro mesh then I'm lost on that one. Are you doing crappie jigs in them?

BTC,
The fluid bed is for powder coating jig heads. The air pumps through what appears to be an air stone glued in to a peice of pvc. I have tried every kind of filter and paper that I can think of. I ordered 3 cups from TJ'S Tackle to get something going for now.I am just curious what the airstone material is. I like tinkering with stuff.><>

email Ben at TJ's he'll tell ya up front. I'd have to look at my fluid bed plans for the exact reason, might have been air flow control. I only asked, cuz I wondering what you were dipping that needed a fluid bed.
