Thanks Guys... Hook size doesn't really effect the weight of the head - I really like a light wire #4 Eagle Claw. All I troll are Southern Pro Grubs and the #4 hook works great for their size grubs...

I have a custom mold that I had made to pour this size head for two different flies I tie, a regular crappie feathered jig and my Chet Flys. But it only pours the head itself with no colllar. I always wanted one with a barb for holding plastics better and I think I know where I can get one...lol. I always look for a reason to do a little custom work anyways...lol. THANKS Kelly

Nice Video ... pretty straightforward, and easily understandable. I only have one question, regarding the running depths -- I get the 0.7mph - 6lb test - jighead weights = Xft of running depth. But, what about length of line out ? Wouldn't that also make some difference in the running depth ranges ?? Is that what creates the 2ft differences in range, or is it more of what size/shape body that's on the jighead ??

Is far as the running depths your right about the shape or style of grub - it makes a little bit of difference pulling say a curly tail compared to a stinger or minnow type bait. The curly tail grubs creates a little more drage so that causes them to run just a little shallower than the others, not much but a little. As far as lenght of line out what I try to do is with the 1/32 cast as far as I can and rip two rod lenghts of line out. 1/24 cast as far as I can rip one good rod lenght of line out. 1/16 I like to just make one good long cast.

Go ahead and weight out your heads just like your going to use them with the hook.

Thanks Guys for the comments: I will have another video up here in a about a week or two where I will go through and install everything thing needed to do the long line trolling technique. We will also get on the water and get all the rod angles and line seperations setup. I will also be talking about casting distance for each jighead sizes. I will post it when I get it done...
