Any one know what the shelf live is of this new fish scent/bait?
I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.
IT should have a pretty long shelf life. It has no ingredients that should really "go bad". The only issue I would see is that it "separates", and I have had some around for a long time, 6 months, and no separation. But I've been making changes to the formula, to thicken it up, so only time will tell. It's a new product.

that Beagleman had and thought it did help with the catching. I noticed I caught more crappie, bass, and a yellow looking perch that I have never heard of being caught before in Stockton Lake in Southwest Missouri. I did not like the cap on the bottle it made it hard to put a thin layer on the jig, it came out more like a bloob on the jig. I put some on a nibble jar lid and drug the jig through it and that worked great until it dried to much and became rubbery. I have order some so I will continue to use it but would like to find a better way to apply it. Hope this helps with the packaging in some way, thanks for the scent slab. Oh and it smells like a bait we use when deep sea fishing. I think it is the fish oil that smells.
Received mine today, now if this weather will break so I can try it out. Thanks

Scent Report
2010 2/7
Central Illinois Farm Pond
Thought I'd pass along my Dad's report from the frozen central Illinois tundra.
I brought a set of the attractant hope with me for Christmas so my Dad could try it and hopefully be weaned off of the Crappie nipples. See, the crappie nibbles my Dad uses have sparkles in them, so over the course of a day, his face is somehow covered in sparkles. I found this embarassing when we went out for a post Lake Shelbeyville pizza and his face shimmed unnaturally in the dimly lit restaurant.
He was fishing a small farm pond in Peoria Co. IL. While there are no crappie that he knows of in the lake, he and a friend caught several Bluegill over a pound. My Dad says he caught more fish than his buddy and says he used either/or #7 & #9 while his buddy used no scent. He also mentioned having trouble applying it at subfreezing temps...and that while most large market fish attractants will spread over an ice fishing hole to form a film which the jig passes through each time up and down, the drops of #7/#9 simply sank. But apart from that, he was at least tempted to say that it worked for the species available--and that means something coming from my Dad!
I can't wait to get the boat out onto some NC lakes once lake levels recede! I am anxious to post some objective reports!
Slab, would it be possible to develop an ice fishing/cold weather formula?

I wasn't born here, but I got here as fast as I could
CRAT, that's funny about the nibbles with flakes! after a nite of fishing with them,I had to answer a million and 1 ? about where, when and how long I was at the fishing hole! Not until I produced both bottles, did she beleive me.Also I have 2 bottles of flake fingernail polish that the flakes change colors once the light hits it.I use the polish to touch up and add scales to my fav jigs and other baits! BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR TACKLE BOXES!! JUST SAYING!!! LOL
GET IN, SIT DOWN, HOLD ON, AND BE VEWY VEWY QUITE!!!!!
