Thread: Lake Rathbun Crappies

Well, now that spawn is over with, where can you find the crappie?
I know they will not be predictable as before the spawn. Has anyone found any in the last 2 weeks? What is the prefered method of catching them after the spawn in this lake?

Just talked to a friend that lives and fishes daily there, he says you can still find them spawning. I'll bet alot are in going in to summer pattern which will be 15 to 25ft on brush piles. My dad is headed down wed. morning, he'll be pounding the banks first.

Well my dad was there early wed. morning, tried all our favorite spots for spawners got 0. He moved out to 6- 10 ft and found 1 spot he cought 15 good ones. Rained hard wed. night so he came back insteed of waiting the rain out. He thought it was all but done as far as spawning goes.
