Default Is Suguma decent for Crappies?

Going on a guys only fishing/camping trip the weekend of May 16th. One weekend before Memorial weekend. Hopeing that possibly we might be there just as the spawn starts. But I know that Suguma is know for its Bass, Walleye and Bluegill. Hows the Crappie fishing there?

I know some pepole who do pretty well on crappies down there, I have never given it much of a try though.

Have never tried for crappie at Saugema during open water. If you really want crappie you may want to head to Rathbun during this time frame. Should be banner year down there.

It has some very nice black crappie in it, or at least it did a few years ago.Timing should be about right.
