Talking Lake Rathbun

Anyone on here fished Rathbun this year?
It will be two weeks before I can get over there.
I can't wait.

Actually they are doing really well this week.Id say if th etemps hit as high as they're predicting some of the smaller males will start showing up shallow in the next couple days.Have caught alot of nice females this week trolling cranks(prefishing for a walleye tourn. this weekend) and theyve been hard to keep off in certain areas.I did fish a law enforecement torun. on 3 mile on Thursday and the males were on the banks and the females were laying in 8 to 9 feet.It wont be long, especiallyif we get upper 70's the next couple weeks. The crappie massters should hit it right on the head.Lets just hope the dropping water doesnt screw up the spawn though.Theyre letting out 800cfs and it come down alittle over a foot already.PJ
