    Default Stabilizer fins

Do any of you guys use these? I have some, and have been considering putting them on my motor. The only thing is, I just purchased my motor new last sping and don't want to drill holes in it, if it will not serve a good purpose. I only have a 15hp on a 1648. Do you think there would be any benefit?

Unless your in a hurry to get somewhere, dont ruin your motor. Most boats run just fine w/out them.

If the fin is rated for 15 hp (should be a range), then there is no doubt it will get you on plane faster, which will save gas. I have one on my 150 horse, and it made a huge difference for me... if you don't have trouble getting on plane, don't put it on.
