Thread: Anyone try Brookville?

Did anyone do any good at brookville this w/e? I was supposed to go there Sunday but my partner was afraid of the crowd so we went to summit and didn't do any good. Six small crappie, six bluegill, 5 13" bass and a 10#carp on an ultralight rod that took 10 minutes to get in. That was the best part of the day. I figure the crappie were jumping in the boat at Brookville since I wasn't there.

fished last night and this morning. caught 14 last night in about 45 minutes on the southern end, caught 30+ today in the middle area(hannah creek/fairfield).
Spider-rigging or SVT(slow vertical trolling) is the berries right now, anywhere from 8-30fow, normally the middle of the water colum. Caught 2 last night that went over 13", no big ones today, just 9-10"s. Fished the banks and brush some today, very few fish in there right now. All white crappies, 90% of the females still had eggs.

Side note, Tag Nobbes bait store (52 Pick-up, southern edge of town in brookville) has rosy reds now, and the crappie and catfish cant get enough of them, so if your a minnow fishermen, give them a try, you wont be sorry.
