Crappie fishing at night is the best! Eagle Creek has so much to offer I'm confused why more don't fish it around here. What bait did ya use? How far down were they? Does the light really make a difference?

Just got back from EC today myself (2-6pm). Bite is definitely on. Caught nearly 150 between two of us, all released. Largest went 12" with quite a few in the 10-11" range. Found one area with males up shallow ready to spawn, but females were still holding eggs and sitting out slightly deeper. Other area had lots of females, most all with eggs still and sitting out over deeper water waiting to move in. Water clarity was pretty good on the main lake, a little more stained in the coves. Surface temps running in the low 70's. Also caught a bonus walleye, a couple white bass, a bluegill and a largemouth.

10" is probably one of last spring's fry they put in there. There should be some keepers in there from the stocking two years ago.

I gotta get on buying an EC boat soon. I need to learn that lake.

crappie and catfish in there are great, the 25 crappie limit needs to be lifted for a while because they are really taking over.
