I was out on the lake last night after work. The fish are all up in the buck brush and feeding hard. For the most part small fish as typical. I did manage to pull 2 slabs out of the THICK cover.

"Giving lip service to as many fish as possible"
I went to Monroe today ( 5/20). Fished from cutright to ramp creek and points between. Beautiful morning / day. Not a cloud... too clear and sunny for my tastes. Didn't do much good with the crappie. Caught some bedding bluegill and a catfish. All bluegill were typical not so big monroe gills. Saw tons of gills floating around up in ramp creek shallows. Carp were having a time up there thrashing around. Coming in under the causeway bridge ...looked like a 100 bluegill floating near top...in the shade. Talked to several folks who had been there all day bass fishing and hadn't done very well. I think it was just one of those days. All the water up on that brush sure looked good. I think late evening might be the ticket with these hot sunny days.

Definitely. Around 8pm I get all my fish on those hot sunny days. I rarely go during middle of the day any more. After dark hours are much more productive on these hot sunny days.
