Thread: First time on Patoka Question??

Went to Patoka for the first time on Saturday. Fished Osborn ramp mostly. Caught lots of fish but most were small. Kept 16 fish over nine inches with the largest being just over 13. Catching them with minnows or jigs from 3 to 12 feet of water. Some fish still had eggs in them.
My question is about the size of fish, is there a technique that some of you use to catch a better class of fish. I like catching fish as much as anyone but 7 incher after 7 incher is tough on me. Most lakes I have fished that do not have a size limit are like this and some with the limit but thought I would ask just the same.
Overall a very nice lake and a good experience. Might try camping the next time. Any suggestions on campgrounds with a tent?

You catch alot of little ones on patoka but there are bigger ones in the lake just have to find them, Camp ground is a #1 area
