Has anyone been fishing Patoka lately? If so what going on down there? Thinking about going there this weekend for my birthday fishing trip.

Went to Patoka for the first time on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Lots of small fish and they were all over the place. 3 to 12 feet of water and top to bottom. Kept 16 fish over 9 inches, the largest just over 13. Fished Osborn ramp mostly but also tried Walls. Lots of standing timber in Patoka. Go slow. Some fish still had eggs in them.

are there any bait shops along 145 to get minnows early in the morning.

Same as hunter1, fished it last Saturday and caught lots of dinks with only a few keepers. I fish Patoka quite a bit, and like he said, so slow! I was idling about 10 mph down the river channel around walls and hit a stick up right below the surface and almost threw a friend out of the boat! The water is at a bad level right now because there are alot of tops right below water level.
Did the Patoka Lake area get a lot of rain? And are the fish bitin any better then a few days ago? Thinking of coming over and wetting a line. Our lakes around here are so flooded the fishn stinks.
Lake is up from rains but wasn't muddy at osborne today got 9 that were 9-10"
