    Default john hays "rumor?"

hey fellas,, had a guy tell me that the crappie are just starting to bite good at john hays. He said that he caught several fish and was able to keep his limit, the smallest being 11 to 12 inches, all caught in 7 fow or less toward the banks. Have any of you guys done any good like that.?

I would lean toward the rumor side of it. Me and my son went this morning, and fished all over the lake, talked to a few other boats out, and nobody cathing anything but small to med sized bluegill. We caught maybe about 15 big enough to eat, and one nice bass, but nothing at all to write home about. I will tell you this though, the lake temp was only about 64 deg. today, alot cooler than every other lake I have been fishing.

I agree with Locator79 as I was on the lake Sunday from 7:30am till 6:00pm and it was a struggle to put a few fish in the boat. I too was all over the lake and I had minnows and could not get a snife at any of my usual crappie spots.
