Put in at crooked creek and fished up to pine grove. No fish up in crooked creek fishing got better up in middle fork caught a zillion dinks and 23 keepers9-11 inch fish. Caught fish spawned out and fish full of eggs. The better fish were up by pine grove in 15 to 12 feet of water. water temp was 58 in morning and 65 when I left. fished minnows and kalin lemon merang jigs . Jigs seem to catch bigger fish. Fun day on the lake!:D

I'll add my report here... I went to Monroe yesterday (Monday May 4 ). Put in at Cutright and went up the middle fork arm of salt creek as far as axom branch. I nearly wore my arms out pulling in the crappie.... however after fishing very hard, I managed only 5 keepers. I had one 14", two 13 ", one 12", and one 10". All of these were caught in different locations. Water temps ran around 67 deg. Water was stained, but not muddy. I tried some buck brush and a little of the banks, but mostly caught mine out away from banks in 10 - 12 ft of water. None the less, it was a beautiful day on the water and the lake was not crowded.

Glad you had a good day on the water. Did you fish any in saddle creek ? Buddies of mine went up by pane town caught a limit of wipers on chicken liver. Had 4 fish over 10 lbs.

no jaypay, thought about saddle creek but never got there. I don't seem to cover much territory... I usually fish an area real hard, especially if I catch a nice one. Maybe my problem .... may need to be more run and gun. I like fishing the upper end of Monroe...however takes me half an hour to get anywhere with idle speed. I like the way Patoka is ...concerning boat speeds. BTW... The females I caught were not spawned out yet. Is anyone out there catching crappie below the causeway? My next time may see me in moores creek area.

went out on Saturday on Blue lake in Busco and had a pretty good day not alot of fish for the time i spent on the lake but enough to eat. About 25 10" to 11" in 8 hours of fishing started out around 7:30 and left at 3pm. Crappie were caught in 10ft of water and the temp. was 65, water temp. was 57 some fish were full of eggs i put them back for future fish in this lake. i have tried to post the pictures of the fish i caught but i think you have to be smarter than the computer in order to make it work, i'm still trying.
