    Default Patoka lake crappie

    Patoka lake crappie,
The bite for crappie is in full swing. Fish are spawning, and the bites incredable !! Many limits being caught !!
Fish in and around structure such as downed trees, boat docks, and any structure. Fish are being caught in 2 to 12 feet deep water. Don't waste your time with minnows. Roadrunners, rooster tails, small plastics and small crankbaits.
Some very nice bass have also been taken. Spinnerbaits, jig & pig, and a few being caught on top water crankbaits.
Bluegill have begun moving into shallow waters, and are fanning out beds. You fly fishermen should like that ! Bite is fair.

Sounds about right, you guys ought to be about a week ahead of us. Caught a good mess yesterday, eggs weren't very loose yet, I need to take time off work and go on slab patrol.
