Thread: Racoon 4/28

Water temp 61-62 degrees and rain all day. Fished water 3-15 foot deep and caught fish just about everywhere but most were in the 8-9 inch range. Managed 15 that were 10-13 inches. Most fish were suspended 4-8 foot deep over timber or on points. Water was 3 or 4 feet higher than summer pool and clear in some areas and a little murky in other areas. Did not go north of the 36 bridge.

My dad and four other fellas are heading down to stay for a week. We are leaving this Sunday and hoping the weather breaks before then. I think the spawn is very close personally.

Seeya this weekend.

The eggs in the larger fish were getting pretty ripe but the ones in the 10 inch and less were at least 2 or 3 weeks away. Only caught one male that had turned black, the rest were still pretty white. Water needs to warm up a few more degrees yet also. I am afraid that the water is going to be high and muddy for quite some time with all of the rain that is coming in.
