There was some bank to fish on but having a boat would be nice. There was only 2 other guys fishing where we were so that was nice too.

Thanks. That was our first trip up that way this year, didnt know what to expect. Usually when we fish that area the river is low with lake not being at summer pool. This year was different and we couldnt even get to where we really wanted to go. It was pretty close to non stop action the whole time we were there. lot of smaller crappie with some keeper 10 to 12 inch fish mixed in. Also had a lot of bites that we missed on. May get over there tomorrow again and see if there still there

Made it out this afternoon, ended up with 12 keepers. Paddled my canoe around hogsback , then tried up around 1812. Fish seem to be scattered, find them and you'll catch them. Going to try again in the morning. Looks like up to an inch of rain by Friday, that's not going to help.

Went out yesterday before that 1 1/2" of rain comes our way . Did really good on the white bass and okay on the crappie. They were scattered through out the river. Took home a good mess with some nice 12" fish in with the keepers. Hopefully by next week things will get back to normal. I think most of the crappie have stayed in the main lake being at summer pool, but I could be wrong.

Got out myself yesterday and had a good time catching. Kept 15. The bigger fish seamed to be males. The eggs in females don't look real close to being ready. No expert on that though...

I went out again on tuesday and fished same area as sunday and couldnt buy a bite. Moved upstream a little ways and picked away on the crappie but it was not fast and furious by any means. Did catch a lot of white bass though.

This was my experience also, crappie were one here one there , no real pattern just scattered fish. White bass action was more consistent. Looks like we missed a lot of the heavy rains so maybe the bite will be back on by the weekend or mid next week.
