Last couple of weeks when it was warm, wood ducks migrating back. Saw a couple of flocks of whooping cranes flying north. Saw a black snake crawling down the drive way. Early flowers blooming, had a wood cock in the yard as they are moving north. Counted a dozen bald eagles in the backwaters at Williams yesterday fishing and flying and perched in the trees above it. This morning, had a whippoorwill land next to the bedroom window at 5am and sing for over a hour and half. It will get warmer and spring is around the corner and will be better weather than what we are presently experiencing so we can enjoy fishing. Right now this weather and wind sucks so Think positive!

Saw a woodcock at the end of February I was out shooting some rabbits before the season closed. So apparently they began their migration back as well.
The people that go south every winter are called Snow Birds ---- some go back north, others stay for the duration . they call it Retirement.
