Little crappie capitol of world
Has to be Patoka. Catch alot of fish but no keepers. Or very few over 10" which is my idael of keepers. Some keep any size. Just say they caught the limit. I think they need the 10" size limit would help the lake out.

WHY??? Thought I was gonna get a report from somewhere else?? Let me know if you wanna hit the other spot sometime. If you got a full boat, we could still try and "team up". I'm sure I can drag someone over there. Two boats would just mean more trees covered.

I killed the battery moving away from little fish. They were jumping out of the water chasing me everywhere I went. You guys can have that lake.

The DNR has done VERY little with the lake IMO, they certainly haven't maximized the potential of the lake. IMO, it's more or less a bass fisherman's lake with limited opportunities for bluegill/redear/crappie. I know there's some nice crappie in there, but it seems like the small ones outnumber the keepers 10 to 1. I bluegill fished Patoka last summer and lets just say I won't be going back anytime soon. Again, I blame the DNR for not making it a balanced fishery.

Good job on catching those Patoka crappie.
My friend who lives up in Indiana told me the crappie have been biting a lot in the last few days.
I have caught around 500 crappie in the last 5 days here on Kentucky Lake, I have caught several dozen that weigh over 1 pound
I caught a nice 2 pound 1 ounce crappie last friday.
Good Luck with your fishing season.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.
I live in an Outdoor Paradise
