Default Are the crappie biteing yet up there in Indiana?

Are the crappie biteing yet up on Monroe or Patoka?

I caught 50 crappie last saturday here on Kentucky Lake. And I caught 5 bass yesterday morning.

A buddy of mine caught 120 crappie in 3 days on Kentucky Lake last week. Almost all of them weighed over 1 pound, he caught a 2 pound 4 ounce crappie also.

Are they biting in Indiana yet, a freind of mine lives up there so I was just wondering.

Good Luck on the rest of the fishing season.
I live 10 miles from the 160,000 acre Kentucky Lake, and the 57,000 acre Barkley Lake is within 25 miles of my house. I live 10 miles from 220,000 acres of Water.

NO!!! There are no crappie in Indiana!

Fish are starting to pick up a little, but we are couple weeks behind Kentucky lake and other areas south of us. Water temps still in the low to mid 40's, bite will be picking up soon. I would keep doing what your doing if you guys are catching them like that!

I beleive last weekend they had a crappie tournament on KY Lake, and a man and his wife caught over 200 crappie in just two days.

Kentucky lake is 160,000 acres, so it has a lot of fish habitat, and a lot of places where fisherman can disperse.

I usually can easily catch 40 to 50 crappie each morning all spring, and summer.

I am looking forward to the bass fishing this year also, I have a couple of spots on KY Lake where I can catch 25 to 30 bass each morning.

My friend in Indiana has access to a private lake so he usually catches a lot of fish too.

    Good Luck
