    Default marabou or plastic?

Hey everyone I just thought I would try to get some input from you guys. I have always used tube jigs and grubs for my crappie fishing but this winter I started tying marabou jigs for steelhead. Do you guy ever use feather or hair jigs for crappie? What do you like best?

I prefer plastic 99% of the time, but if I'm fishing in a river or a place with current, I will use marabou jigs/hair jigs every now and then. Crappiepro.com has the ones I use most of the time...

I fish plastics way more than any other jig. I feel that plastic will give you a little extra second of two to react. I have caught plenty of fish on hair jigs, but would rather have a jig head tied on, where I can switch baits and colors throughout the day. Somebody on here will completely disagree, and tell you hair is the way to go. I guess if all depends on what your comfortable fishing.

I like both. I tie my hair and feather jigs so I can get any pattern I want. I do use plastic probably more though just because of the profile and size of the bait and ease of changing colors. When the bite is tough I look for my small hair jigs and flies.

one more vote for plastic here. im sure if you get it in front of their face either will work though. if your on clear water, the extra movement of the hair at rest mite trigger more bites from neutral fish.

Definitely plastic for me all the way! There are so many color, size, shape, and styles of plastic to make them the most all around bait for me.

    Good Luck All!
