Just called the fishin shedd they said that cutrite was open. I may have to give it a try tomarrow. She said there was ice on the edges and to be careful.

The nightime temp of 19 deg last night didnt help....but the rain that is coming in on tues/wed next week should help things out considerably.

If it is actually open and fishable, be sure to let us all know!

i called down there Friday to the DNR and checked and they said it was gonna be probaly 3 to 4 days before you could get into the ramps

A buddy of mine was fishing below the dam today and said he could see no open water from the road over the dam.

Well You guys scared me Iam taken the wife and kids for a look around and to check our camper at big sky campground will tell you for sure later.

Monroe is open at cutrite all other ramps are still frozen.The north end by the dam is still frozen.If you put in at cutrite looks like you can go to maybe ranp creek. The back of moores creek frozen but open past the water inlet.We seen 6trailers in cutrite and one at farfax. Farfax open only just past boat docks.Looks like you will be able to get to saddle creek in a day or so frozen between cutrite and the fishing pier. Hope this helps.

thanks Jaypay...good report. I keep watching the web cams at the sailboat ramp...little protected bays there are frozen but seeing signs of them breaking up. This rain tonight, 60 deg tomorrow, then 4-5 days of warm and showers / thunder storms...thurs... should go a long way toward breaking it up. If we could get some wind in there too....that would help !!
