Default real time satellite views of lakes

Hey to those much smarter than me... are there any real time sky views of lakes in our area ? EG.... can I look at a lake like Monroe and see the current open water versus ice? Just wondering.

(trying to avoid looking like a DA when pulling up to ramp and there is still ice)

I have used several different satelite sites to "pre-fish" lakes for up-coming tournaments. I dont know that any of the sites ive been on were live feed, most images were couple years old or more. Although, thats a heck of an idea, but both my computer and computer skills arent up to par with somthing that fancy.

Google earth should be able to show you. I've used it to follow the Wabash River to find bends where the cats might be laying. Thanks to a tip from riverscum.

I may be wrong, but I don't think that Google Earth is "real time"...but it is great for scoping out potential fishing sites.

dont know of any real time, but that would be killer!

i have something for you to look at with google earth. there is a submarine cruising clear lake indiana. you can see it if you zoom in on it. its about 350 yrds ese of the island. i wonder if the owner knows he can be seen? lol

The military are the only ones with real time views as far as I know. Good thing...I don't want anybody seeing my fat a** in the hot tub!

This is live satellite. You can't zoom but you can tell ice cover. If you look around on the site they archive images so you can view area you want. There are pay sites that have better images.

    Hoosier,
Would you happen to know the names of the pay sites. I have visited a couple sites but they didn't say real time, they wanted you to pay first and then find out it was a week or so old, kinda thing.
