Thread: It's Time

After a very long winter, its time to put the boat in the water. I have not been out since last December, and now its time to go. Me and a few of my fishing buddies are headed down to Reelfoot this weekend to see if we can hit a few stumps and catch a few fish. If I told you I was excited it would be an understatement. Wish us luck!!!!

Good Luck! Hang a hog! Knock em dead! You know, catch a few for all of us northerners who still have 8-10" of ice. I see the main lake at Monroe is open, but the bays are still frozen. Hopefully it won't be too long here at home.

Can't wait for my trip to Weiss in 12 days. It has been a long cold snowy winter. I have to find some water thats not frozen locally to fire up my 200hp before heading south. I'm ready to hear my Yamaha purrr and my drag sing with a SLAB crappie.

Good luck at the foot. We will be going down again this year the last week of April. We stay at Cypress Point. I envy you getting to go. Have a good safe trip.

Well, I know you have been looking at the KY board and the fish they are catching at KY lake....so reelfoot is just west of there... I think you will be on the right lattitude. You can really catch some good ones this time of yr. A good weather high is coming in for the weekend...should warm up and have some pleasant days for you there. We'll expect some pictures. Oh, did I forget to say " lucky dog".

We rent a house down there about a stones throw from the water. Been staying there for a couple years now. Same price as any resort, and nicer than any place I've ever seen down. Sleeps 10 and everything you need to feel right at home. Anybody ever need a good place, I'll give ya the info

Thats exactyly what I'm hoping for. Looks like they are hitting pretty good at KY lake, and after watching the new Midwest crappie my chops are watering. As of today the temps are predicted to be in the mid 50's all weekend.

I love to watch the midwest crappie shows and saw Russ had a new one out there for reelfoot...but unfortunately i use a verizon wireless card here where I live and watching those shows eats up too much of my monthly limit. I'd love to see that one. I'll have to go visit my daughter and use her internet! Don't think you'll have to worry about any mocs dropping out of trees into the boat this time of year !!
