Hardy lake stripers?
I have no idea how to catch them, or where. I posted something on the striper board, but thought maybe somebody here knows the water and could help me out. Stripers of all sizes are being caught right now, and a few of them have been really large. With the crappie bite slow, I would love to catch some of these, but have never really went after them, and have no clue where to start. Me and my son went out last Sunday and trolled crankbaits but had no luck. Any advice???

I have a friend that knows alot about stripers on Hardy, I'll check in with him an get back with on it. I do that know that last year, they caught one at the dam that was either 35 lb. or 35 in. . Either way it was huge! I'll be in touch.

Reports of some big fish lately, one I can confirm. I have caught a few small ones crappie fishing the last couple weeks, now I want the big ones.

We use buck tail jigs with dipsy divers to catch them on Racoon. usually put a 5" curly tail on it to give it a swimming action. Chartreuse or red. Planer boards can be used to get the baits spread out as well. Good Luck!
