Thread: Cataract 11/9

Went down this morning and caught some crappie. Most were caught on Cunot side and all were between 8-12ft of water. We used minnows Team9 we caught a few without tipping but it appeared to us they wanted meat. Had a flury of activity between noon and 1:00. Saw one of Teams9's fishing partner at the cleaning station and they had a nice mess also and they didn't use minnows. We kept 40 10+ inches. Nice to meet some guys that post on this site. Wow 40 keepers. Thats a nice mess of meat. Wish I could get out during the week but I should be glad I have a job to go to. (I guess)

Good job Fishinfred. Lee called me last night and said he met you. Sounds like the bite was on yesterday. All the reports I got were good. I'm also not surprised to hear you did best with minnows. Had another friend who was out there Saturday and he swore that crappie nibbles made all the difference in the bite for him. I don't keep them, I just enjoy searching for and catching them on jigs, so I rarely ever mess with minnows or nibbles - just not my style. Certainly nothing wrong if you do fish that way though.
