I recently e-mailed a friend who used to fish Summit on a regular basis. When I asked him if he had been fishing Summit, the only comment I got back was "It is dead". He used to catch all kinds of perch and crappie there are sometimes would bring fried fish into work (now that's a friend). He said that he has been fishing the Richmond Reservoir. You might try there!

It could have been the Middle Fork Reservoir in Richmond, IN.

I fished Middle-Fork. Awful small crappies.

Yes,
the shanty shootout is this Sunday and it is on Summit Lake and/or Prarie Creek.

The 2nd in a series of four Shanty Shootouts was held on Summit on Saturday January 16th. All of the results along with the championship points can be seen here:
