Took the day off work expecting good things do to the forecast. Boy was I wrong. On the water @ 8:00 and things looked good. Went to stick ups that produced last Sunday and couldn't get a bite on jigs or minnows. Finally around 9:00 got the first one (10") on a Road runner slow reeling a drop off. Wind started picking up out of the southeast and never let up. Ended up catching (18) 9"-10" with jig and minnows. Very tough day to catch fish for us. Sorry no pics, cleaned them at my dads.

You still had a better day than the rest of us who had to work. Nice work and they will taste better since you had to work hard for them!

Go to Cabelas.com and type in "road runner" in their search. You can find them at Wal Mart.
Most fish were caught in 14 feet of water near the main channel.

great thank you I plan on taking minnows but I wouldn't mind getting some road runners just in case do you look for structures on the bank to the main channel? I have been putting in at red bridge caught 5 in the shallows at liston creek last Sat afternoon but sunday I only got one on some stumps in a bay across from the beach but the water was only 7 foot deep.. how low is the water now? sorry for all the questions

For road runners, lately I've been looking for submerged structure in the 14 FOW range. If you are going to Liston area, try a ninnow or jig 6' down tight to the stick ups in 10-25 FOW. Maybe try shollower if you go early or late. I would guess the water to be down 8'. Remember this is what has been working for me lately and I consider myself a beginner for crappie.
