Congratulations to two Indiana crappie fisherman that have done us proud!
Jim and Bob Raymer of Noblesville fish the Cabela's Crappie USA tournament trail. Many of you may know Jim since he posts on this site quite often with helpful advice and tips (Crappieking1).
Team Raymer finished 3rd at the Regional at Patoka Lake to qualify for the Classic. You can believe the competition was tough! (They finished 1 lb. ahead of Walters and Solomon, who went on to become the National Points Champions).
Team Raymer then went on to compete in the Cabela's Crappie USA Classic, held on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway iin Columbus, MI. Fishing against the "best of the best" from across the nation, Jim and Bob finished in the top ten, with a 9th place finish weighing in at 14.13 lbs. Again the competition was tough with teams like Capps and Coleman (Ranger Cup Champs) in the mix!
Congratulations to you guys, and thanks for all you do for the sport of crappie fishing!
But as they say, no rest for the weary! Jim and Bob will be competing at Monroe (their home lake) in the first tournament of the 2010 season this weekend.
Lets all wish them Good Luck and Good Fishin!
Sweet! Great job guys! Now back to the reality of Indiana crappie fishing (LOL). Hope you brought some of that warm southern weather back up with you.
