Fishing between Bittersweet and county line rd.bridges.Saw a guy catch about a 40" northern as well he also had a couple walleyes around 20"
St. Joe has 40" Northern, Walleye and slabs? How far is that from Indy?!?!?!
3 to 3-1/2 hrs.N.If you go about another 1/2 N.into Mich. Walleyes get bigger as they enter the St.Joe from lake Mich.,and I mean bigger 10 to 15# range that's the Mich. zone though and the season closes in Dec til May 15.Also up in that area 5-6# smallies can be caught, w/ 3-4#ers being the norm. The launch site is called maggies landing in Mishawaka. From the launch you head east the first bridge is Bittersweet rd.about 2 miles east of that is the county line bridge. There are some good channels and bays along the way.I'll check for the web-site for the marina on county line rd.I believe he has a web-site.My nephew has a web-site for lower Mich stretch of the St.Joe.It's southwestmichiganbass.com check it out it has a local report and multi-species category,if you check out the multi-species go to page 2 to see the walleyes from up there.
Heck of a mess-o-fish, nice going. This river sould not be confused with the other St. Joseph River that empties into lake Erie. And ot think I never did anything but steelhead that river, I gotta get out more.
