We mix it up quite a bit. Chrt./white, solid chartreuse, chrt/silver, blue/chrt., red/yellow, blk/chrt. They all seem to work, though we will frequently see what appears to be a color preference on some trips. Usually it's a decision more of tubes versus curly tails

Good job Brian. I haven't been able to get out for the past few weeks, but it looks like it's time! This should be a good fall for size and quantity.

I fish cataract today. Started out in 12' like Team9nine said. Could only come up with 8 and 9" fish. Started moving out to deeper water. Finally come accross a big brush pile in 17 fow, loaded with fish. Ender up taking 24 off it, all 11 to 13'. Water temperature at 7:30 was 66 and at 11:30 it was 64.8. Figure that one out. Lake is down about a 1 1/2 ft. Best colors were chart. and chart/orange jigs tipped with minnows, spidder rigging. Did here a report of 2 guys in a white Skeeter last week that had 2 limits of 15 to 17" fish. All spidder rigging with 6 pole accross the front of their boat. From what was said, their boat was covered in sticker and they were from KY.

Hope you didn't believe the report - I sure wouldn't unless I personally witnessed and measured their fish.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. :D

Thanks for the reports guys. My hat's off to anyone able to fish in those high winds and keep their religion. I've been wondering if the fish had just turned off, people weren't going, or sandbagging on us :D Good to hear the fish are still there. Looks like the water is starting to cool down nicely. Today was just one of those absolutely beautiful Fall days. Who even cares if the fish do bite:D Wish I could have been out there.

I know its hard to believe someone actually caught more and bigger fish than T9 (unless you personally witnessed it). No one could possibly give T9 to run for the money when it comes to crappie and bass. It seems he is always on fish and is the first to let you know about his award winning fishing trips. Don't get me wrong, I love good, honest fishing reports, but this guy out performs everyone on local waters and loves to tell ya about it. Then when someone catches a limit of bigger fish he disses them!!
I didn't witness his Saturday success. I see a picture of average size crappie floating in a livewell. I don't see any 12.75". I can't even tell if they are 10". Put em on a measuring stick and take a few shots next time. Like he said seeing is believing ;D.
Sorry there are no minnows allowed in your boat. you might have caught some of those 15" - 17" fish. The guys in the skeeter were spider riggin minnows and jigs. bigger fish came on bass minnows.
