Default Question for 2014 ISM Classic qualified Members

Hey all you ISM 2014 Classic Qualified Members, there's been a little trouble trying to find a well trusted host hotel since the "Summerhouse Inn" has closed down. We have heard that we have to be very careful with the hotel rooms we choose in Bloomington because in the recent past there has been problems with rooms. I will leave it at that because I am sure this is not the case at all hotel rooms. With that being said, finding a place that can house the entire club, not have the problems that have been going on in Bloomington, give us a decent rate, and provide us with a guaranteed place that possibly well over 30 teams can charge their boats seems very difficult to say the least.

Here is an idea that I will throw out there. How many ISM classic qualified members would be willing to camp at the Paynetown Campground? It currently looks as though there are 18 Spots available with electricity and water if you need this. and another 50 plus sites that are non-electric. I'm not sure the no-electric sites would work unless you have a generator to recharge your batteries. I'm just going to watch on here and see what the response is and I will send out the information. Comradery seems to be an important part of the ISM and just trying to find a place where many of the members may be able to go to be able to accomplish us as a club to spend time together and congregate when not fishing.

Looks like it is $19.00 a night for electric sites and $15.00 a night for non-electric sites.

Just a thought! Let me know yours!

    Thanks,

??? Guess I'm a tad confused. I had printed dad a sheet of the webpage last month that showed the hotel as being the one across from the mall. Dad was in Bloomington yesterday and he stopped in. Made a reservation, got a 10% discount for being a club member to boot. I'll ask him the name of the place. (He did say though, that the one just as you come into Bloomington from SR46 E was closed. Which is the place where we used to stay).

Anyways, I you want me to get the name of the place let me know.

Here's the name of the place dad got a room at. He said it was just down the road from the church where the meeting is to be held.

    Bloomington Travelodge
    2615 E. 3rd St. (State Rd. 46)
    Bloomington, IN
    812-339-6191

Like I said above. They gave us a 10% discount when he mentioned the club, plus an additional 10% off for being Vets. If there was a problem with this place. Please let me know. Last thing I want to pick up is a case of lice, bedbugs, nasty sheets etc. (If that's what your referring to)

Jim is working on a place for the whole club. That place don't have enough parking. And was spoken about unclean. Visit ISM site. Jim said he will post there when and if things get worked out.
