I'll add my report here... I went to Monroe yesterday (Monday May 4 ). Put in at Cutright and went up the middle fork arm of salt creek as far as axom branch. I nearly wore my arms out pulling in the crappie.... however after fishing very hard, I managed only 5 keepers. I had one 14", two 13 ", one 12", and one 10". All of these were caught in different locations. Water temps ran around 67 deg. Water was stained, but not muddy. I tried some buck brush and a little of the banks, but mostly caught mine out away from banks in 10 - 12 ft of water. None the less, it was a beautiful day on the water and the lake was not crowded.
