Do we have any jigging spoon crappie fishermen on this board (summertime)? I do really well through the ice with swedish pimples, and was thinking of heading out to the deep water at the home lake and suspend jigging. I have trouble getting the monsters this time of year, and that techique came to mind.
Can anybody share a proven method: colors, size, brand, tip that may help?
i use a jigging rapala in summer. i take my ice rod along with me to drop down under the light at night. two minnow/bobber rods and that do a great job in summer! you can pick up other fish with it too that come on the screen! i picked up 3 bonus walleyes this year so far+bass n gills.

sometimes a bee-moth or worm chunk yes. dont seam to be critical though man. i think its more for my confidence then anything else. i am a believer in those lil glow tails i glue on under the back hook! i am positive they get me more fish under the ice.
