Default Hovey Lake & Southwestern Indiana

I will be moving to New Harmony at the end of the summer and wanted to know if anyone fishes Hovey lake for crappie or gills. Any info would be appreciated. Any thoughts on a good place to go would also be great. I do most of my fishing at Lake Shelbyville in illinois but am looking for something a little closer to home.

thanks and stay cool.

We used to fish Hovey a decent amount, and it used to be good. No recent experience though. You'll be a couple hours from Kentucky/Barkley.

CatFan,

Thanks for the info. I cant seem to find anyone who actively fishes it. Both times i have been by there i have seen some nice catfish taken out, but no crappie or gills.

I will have to give it a try.

Thanks again.
