I'll be doing some crappie and channel cat fishing, I live south about 40 miles of the lake. I'm going to make 3-4 trips up the first of the week.

I mostly do this the middle of may, but with work, I'm just now able to go..

Anyone been fishing and doing any good ? Thanks for any info.....

Haven't been to Sal, but have been to Miss on Memorial Weekend, and caught fish everyday with the inlaws. I just talked one of them tonight who was out last weekend I believe and they found the crappie on the fishfinder settled in and caught a bunch!!!

Should be close to same around the Sal area

My 8 year old son and I went up this evening, for a few hours. We caught some nice crappies and a few channel cats. We cleaned them and all were females full of egges, that are ready too lay.

We are going to go up a few more times this week and have some more fun in the sun......
