Default Monroe Fishing

I am hoping to fish Monroe all weekend if possible. Anyone been there lately? I am hoping for help with current conditions, patterns, and a good place to start. I will reply with a daily fishing report and pictures (hopefully).

My wife and I fish Monroe a lot. Was up there last weekend and hit it just right. We caught a couple 2 lbers and several over a lbs. We were fishing in the Paynetown area in the flooded brush. We fished in 10-12 feet of water about 5 feet down. Water temp was around 62 degrees. We fished with minnows under slip bobbers. Hope this helps...good luck!!!

Default Just Got Back

Fished Pine Grove and Saddle Creek at Monroe today. Small males are in 5-10 feet of water. Females are out in 12-16 feet. Caught (2) 12", (1) 13", (1) 14-1/2". All had small pale eggs. My guess is that the spawn will happen over the next two weeks. Water temp was 62-68 degrees depending on where you were.
