Jill and I worked hard for this stringer of nine crappie 10-12". Most were caught shallow fishing minnows under floats, but they were scattered across several of our "honey holes". All were caught Saturday, and we only had one keeper on Sunday. They have definitely moved off of the nests and are deeper. Now to locate some fish holding on cover or off of points in deeper water.

We had a good weekend camping at the SRA. Just cool enough at night to really enjoy the campfire and just warm enough during the day to be pleasant. A bit windy, but we were able to find some protected coves to fish.

This weekend we are headed to Summit to chase some walleye in addition to trying to catch some crappie.

Here is a picture from Saturday. Again, it was good to see you out there on Sunday CrappieSlayer. Hang in there and you will be on 'em in no time.
