Just got back from the lakeFri. Was out here for a week. Water still high but you can get under all overpass. Fiishing was good if you trolled. Did not do to good sitting still. Tube or curlytail pumpkinseed seem to work the best. Did not get any real big ones but we had a ball. Painter ramp is where we had the best fishing. Working the lond inlets. I fished Patoka Saturday. Fished the Osborne area. Unfortunately I didn't go early. I wasn't sure how the weather would be. Got there around 9 AM. Caught some keepers most of them I caught from 9 to 11 AM. One of them was a slab almost 14 inches. Caught them in 14 to 21 feet of water. I couldn't get a bite anywhere else. The fish I caught were spawned out females.

I would of went today but bluebird skies so I elected to save my gas money. Going to head up again Wed as long as things work out with work.

Taked to some guys fishing minnows in shallow water they said they didn't have a bite all day. I was a little surprised to find the spawned out females with the corp dropping the lakes so much so fast. I guess they spawned deep with the dropping of the lake othewise surely there would of been males shallow guarding the nests.

Course my theory could be wrong I haven't been to Patoka in almost a month before yesterday.

If you care to share, how deep of water were you trolling in?

Weather permittting I am going to try to fish Patoka Monday and Tuesday.
