Default Finally, a big one at Cataract

For your viewing pleasure. This guy could really swim. Running at a speed faster than I would troll a crankbait.

Default That's cool

Nice Pics!

I was once pulling one of my kid's on a tube and came around to a bay, saw a deer in the water and stopped in a position so we all could watch. Initially my kid's thought it was some geese, but when it got out of the water you should have seen their eyes light up!

Default Oh No!

Santa must have been like that airline pilot and dumped it in the lake.

When I first saw this fella.... thought it was one of bfbob's , rdant's, or T9's brushpiles floating to the top. There I was without any corn for bait. Utterly amazed at how good a swimmer he was....he could really move. Photos were taken by my son-in-law while I drove the boat.

On a side note, the crappie were disappointing to me.... they ran small and were thin...didn't seem to have the same shoulders as the ones we landed in August.

Nice guy at the ramp suggested I use lower (st park) ramp. It worked fine. Said some fella's had chewed them out after tearing up their boats on the other ramp. None of you would do that , would you?

We did however have a blast catching whites on ultralite rods. We boated several.

Funny seeing this post. I came up on a nice 8 pter just last week swimming the lake. Those buggers can move in the water. I woulda thought he woulda been tired reaching the bank but that's when he kicked it into high gear. I guess I got a little too close as I was about 25 yards away when he reached the bank.

Thanks for sharing the pics and congrats on the catch.

Hog Daddy,
I got a little something for that critter. It is called an arrow and a broadhead! I can just taste the back straps done up on the grill. I have been out chasing those guys and you see this one while crappie fishing. I will keep my eye out for some slabs in the woods.
