I bought some of this Kodiak Minnow Paste last month at the fishing show in Collinsville and I saw it at the boat show in St. Louis. I was curious if anyone has used this stuff yet or heard anything about it. It is a paste of freeze dried minnow parts in a plastic syringe. Your suppose to squirt it inside of your tube jig. The guy that was selling them said they last alot longer than berkley power bites/ crappie bites. The bites work good but a pain to put on and come off quite easily......
You should get a bait pump and put the Berkley nibbles inside it. It last a long time that way and works great. Or you could just use the syringe you got with your minnow paste when it is gone. But the bait pump is a lot easier. I have both and the syringe I put the nibbles in are harder to push out the bait pump is effortless because it screws in and forces the scent out.
I don't go fish without it.
My two cents.

I''ve used this product since it was introduced. I buy the bulk tube rather than the injector because you get more for your money. I don't inject but just smear some on the jig every so often. I would'nt be in the boat without it. Not sure if it triggers any bigger fish but have seen many times that it turns a tough bite into a tolerable bite. The tougher the day the more I rely on it!!
ive used it trolling with some success....ive done much better casting to cover using it in tubes under floats....also done well fishing it in laydowns on the rivers....
i beleave in the bait pimp with nibbles 100%....i have tired alot of stuff and nothing comes close to the nibbles

I use both Kodiak paste (Shad) and crappie bites (mainly the white ones) and both work good. I use the paste as cover scent on my hands before each trip, and crappie bites on the hook. The pump makes sense (no pun intended), but I have yet to find something that last longer than just leaving the lid off the bites for 2 hours during a hot day to let them dry out, or freezing them, then putting them on the hook. Yeah, the scent isn't as strong, but you catch 20 fish on one bit, which will equate to big savings without alot of scarifice. I usually hook the jig head on the outside of the tube then thread three dried out bites on the hook, and it last forever, and there isn't any difference in the number of fish I catch. I also put a little paste in jigs that don't have YUM scent, and let them soak, which also make the scent last longer.
I love the Kodiak. Use it all the time. If you decide you dont want it send it to me.
