needed. Wife and I are heading down to Reelfoot 4/4 thru 4/11 with a stop at Shelbyville on the way down. Will be pulling the rig (fiver w/ boat tagging along) so looking for campground w/ launch. We stayed at Lithia Springs last year but had some boat mods to make so never got on the water. Hoping to fish a couple of days anyway. Any advice on where on the lake might be best...weather as always dictates doesn't it.
Have a 175 tracker w/ a jet so covering the lake won't be a problem. Thanks for any info/advice.

camp at eagle and head north. be careful, the water is falling, so don't run near the bank, unless you KNOW where you are at. if you launch at eagle, turn left and run about a 1/4 mile and the lake will be narrow, then it will get wide, ease to the left and you will be ok....by the bridge, stay in the middle. get out your map. take the East arm, toward coal shaft bridge, several coves--areas with standing trees,,,,unless you know the lake. or shoot me a PM
also try to get in contact with with lakeshelbyvilleguide he is a member of the site...he will be able to help you out....hope you guys have a great trip....you will be getting to reelfoot as im leaving...im going down march 27,28,29

The lake is at 598 and change right now. If we don't get a lot of rain and they keep dumping it like they are now it will be to winter pool by the time you come down.
Be careful and stay out a ways from the flat banks. Particularly when you come around the bend at Point 3 heading up the lake. That flat out in front of 3 comes a looooong way out.
Also the flat out in front of Point 5. If you want to turn and go into party cove make sure you run up close to the high clay bank right where the 5 sign is at. FYI there is a huge stump field out in front of the island at 5 *wink*
The other place is the flat at point 6. It comes out even further than the ones at 3 and 5. There is also a huge stump field in front of 6 *Wink*
As far as fishing that time of year, fish the high clay banks on the main points and the timber in the backs of any coves.
Note: Lithia, Coon Creek, Skull Cove and the back of Wolf creek.
Most likely stay on the S half of the lake if it's muddy or stained. But if it's clear then as someone else said head N
Good Luck
