    Default Rend Lake??

For the last few years I've been going to Rend lake with the family at the end of May Every year. We have been staying at Wayne Fitzgerrell(nice place). Being I have young kids we did mostly bank fishing, running trot lines for channel cats and joy riding in the boat. This year is a little different; it's going to be a crappie fishing trip with the buddies. I have not had a chance to look for the crappie here??Is the end of May to late?? Where is a good place to start?? We did a lot of fishing along 154rip rap for the cats and have caught a ton. But I need help on where to start looking for the crappie in late May? I could spend half my weekend trip looking but thought I'd try to save some time by asking?? Any guides??

Rend is good all year long. They may still be in the bushes at that time depending on the weather. If not they can be caught on structure in the lake.

Crappiehunt, like crappie X said they will probably be in the bushes or structure. If I was wanting to save some time I would have your guys chip in some money and hook up with crappie extreme guide service in the above post and go, cause these guys will probably know where they are at and it would be money well spent!! Crappie X and crappie clint, you owe me another free fishing trip!!LOL!!

I've caught them on the banks as late as the 1st weekend in June but if I were coming for crappie i'd plan for early to mid May. Might want to check out the Corps campgrounds too. You can reserve on-line and they were a bit cheaper
