Default Tried a 4blade comp prop on my merc 25hp

I was really impressed at how much of a difference this prop made.My 25 is a hand tiller drive and with the old 3 blade 'alm.' it would steer reel hard to the right.now with this 4 blade i can let go and there is no steering torque. The boat is alot faster at a lower rpm so less gas and more fast!!!!!!!Even a better hole shot 2.It performs like comp prop claimes and it was only 70 dollars. Money well spent for once. My boat is a 1648 g3. I moved the drive pin up 2 holes and was really cruising then. but suffered a little on the hole shot. my other boat is a 25ft sunsation aggressor powerboat, so more speed is a cool thing to me, even if its in my 16ft jonboat

I have ran them on 2 motors. And will be adding one to my Lund in a few weeks. I am running a 90 tiller its like running a 25. But I think the 4 blade would make it a lot better. Also looking for more bow lift.

Well thanks for that info fellas, I run a 25 merc tiller on my 1660 and it does exactly what you just said, pulls hard to the right, no matter what or how you adjust it, I have been considering this com prop but was not sure about them, sounds like a good deal and well for the price I think tomorrow I may just order one. How much better do you think it will be with also adding a Hydro Foil, or is that with one on already? Thanks!

And Hello Mr. Pete, see you around some-where's else me thinks, how is that 90 on fuel?

I dont have a hydra foil on my boat. The foil provides stern lift, just like the 4 blade so i would think it would be to much lift in the stern, and they create more water drag on your motor witch slows you down a bit.

Where do you get one of these 4blade comp props? I have the new 25 Merc. 4-stroke on a 1655 Crestliner. The boat is 775 lb. dry. Would like to get a little more speed.

Bet you have. It may well be on Walleye central? It love the stuff. I filled it Jan 1. Only been fishing6 or 7 times. The hand is just getting off Full the full mark. Been on some 6 mile one way trips. Last year it was fish, fish and fish more. Its not as good as the 140 Suzuki was on the other boat. But less motor and more boat.
